Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes for spice optional

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the Beef: Toss sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and sesame oil. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Sear the Beef: Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Sear beef for 2-3 minutes, then set aside.
  • Cook Vegetables: Add remaining oil to the wok. Stir-fry bell peppers, onion, and garlic for 3-4 minutes.

  • Prepare Sauce: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and black pepper. Pour into the wok.
  • Combine: Return beef to the wok and mix with vegetables. Add cornstarch slurry and stir until sauce thickens.
  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
